Important message as Memorial Day approaches
Thanks to our partnership with the LACDPH and LACOE, we will be distributing rapid antigen tests for Downey Unified students to take home. A test kit (containing 2 tests) will be provided to every in-person student during the school day before the end of this week.

As we shared on March 1st, we would like to provide an update as it relates to our masking guidelines across the district.

District Update – Indoor Masking
Effective March 12, the State of California and LACDPH will make indoor masking a strong recommendation not a requirement in school settings.

District Update – Outdoor Mask Guidelines
During tonight’s Special Board of Education meeting, the Board made the decision that outdoor masking will now be a recommendation and not a requirement, for both students and staff, effective immediately.
