Chris Nezzer, Downey Unified’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), received the Shared Values Award in the area of Best Staff and High Standards at the Board of Education Meeting held on January 18, 2023. Mr. Nezzer was selected for this honor because he embodies the core characteristics of this Shared Values category which includes being a highly qualified employee that reflects high moral and ethical character as well as being a staff member that models a passion for education and shows a true commitment to our students.
Staff members were also in attendance at the meeting to join in the celebration of Mr. Nezzer. Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Roger Brossmer; Director of Elementary Education, Jennifer Robbins and Principal of Griffiths Middle School, Dr. Anthony Zegarra, took the podium to share thier personal accounts of Mr. Nezzer, further echoing the reasoning behind his selection for this award. Also there to support Mr. Nezzer was his team from the Technology Department.
