Downey Unified School District is now accepting applications for children who live outside the Downey Unified boundaries. We welcome motivated students interested in sharing our vision.

Coffee, water, and cookies will be provided. Attendees will receive a swag bag while supplies last. Translation will be available.

21 CLC

ALL TK – 5th-grade students are in a 1:1 iPad environment.

Robotics

Robotic classes are available to students from TK – 5th grade in some form, culminating in a district-wide event called, “Robolympics.”

Innovation Labs

TK-5 students have access to:

  • Computer Science/Coding
  • Green screen
  • Spheros
  • VEX
  • Dash and Dot
  • Ozobots
  • 3-D print design

STEAM Instruction

Students are not only exposed to coding and STEM design, but they are also immersed in art with “Meet the Master’s” art instruction.

Student Leadership

Student Council, CHARACTER COUNCIL and Tech Squad allow students  opportunities to learn leadership skills.
