Viking Showcase is your opportunity to see what your student is learning this year and what they’ll be stepping into next year! The Showcase is designed for future students and families to explore our programs, meet staff and students, and experience what makes Downey High School special.
We strongly encourage students and families at every grade level to attend and see:
• What your student is doing this year!
• What they will be doing next year!
• The classes, programs, and pathways in action @ DHS! Explore what programs they can join in 9-12 grades.
The evening begins with:
🕔 5:00–6:00 PM – Future Freshman Presentation (Gym)
🕔 6:00 PM – Our campus opens for full exploration. Families can attend grade-level and pathway panels, including:
• 9th Grade Honors & AP Panel
• Counselor A-G Presentation
• Grade-level course showcases
Families can also explore programs across campus, including:
• CTE Pathways
• Writing Center
• Femineers
• Art & Theatre Shows
• Clubs & Athletics
• And so much more!!
Our clubs will be selling snacks, and our PTSA will have a food truck on site — come prepared to eat and explore!
