What is Viking + ?

By now, you’ve probably noticed Viking+ on your schedule, and we’re thrilled to introduce this game-changing addition to our school day! Last year, our teachers voted to revamp the bell schedule, creating a 30-minute flex period on block days specifically designed to support you—our students. This dynamic intervention period is known as Viking+.

The goal of Viking+ is simple yet powerful: to give you the time and space during the school day to get the help you need or want. Soon, you’ll have the ability to sign yourself up for sessions with any of your teachers, and they’ll be able to invite you to join them if you’re struggling in their classes or need to catch up on work.

We’re using Enriching Students to sign up for classes and take attendance during these flex periods, just like any other class. The expectations remain high, but the focus is all about supporting YOU.

Whether you’re an athlete who has to leave early for games or a student who finds science a bit challenging, Viking+ is here to give you the freedom to take control of your education. It’s your opportunity to make the most of your school day, boost your academics, and build stronger connections with your teachers.

So get ready to bring the Vike Vibe to Viking+ and make this your best year yet!

What is the Writing Center?
The Writing Center is a low-pressure space where writers of all levels engage in one-on-one conversations about their writing. Our tutors can help with any part of the writing process for any class.

Who works there?
Our tutors are friendly juniors, seniors, and college students that love writing and are excited about helping students of all levels become stronger, more confident writers.

What do I bring?
Bring your laptop or Chromebook and have your teacher’s directions and any writing you have done. If you don’t have a draft, we can help you get started! We also now offer conversation tutorials to help you with class discussion, presentations, and interviews!
