Welcome Back, Warren Bears!
There is something special about the beginning of a new school year. It is a chance to reconnect with friends, meet new people, discover new interests, and set goals for the journey ahead. Whether you’re stepping onto campus for the first time or returning for your final year as a Bear, know that you are an important part of what makes Warren such an extraordinary place.
At Warren, we believe every student should have opportunities to explore their passions and build a future they are excited about. From rigorous AP and dual enrollment courses to our wide variety of Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, students have countless ways to challenge themselves and discover what inspires them. Just as importantly, there are opportunities beyond the classroom through athletics, clubs, performing arts, leadership, JROTC, robotics, esports, AVID, Unified Sports, and so much more. No matter your interests, there is a place for you here at Warren.
One of our top priorities this year is student attendance. We believe that every class, every day, and every minute matters. As graduation requirements become more rigorous and students are expected to earn a C or better in all A-G courses, being present and engaged in class is essential for success. This year, we are challenging ourselves to reach 98% attendance schoolwide, and we need every Bear’s help to get there. Be sure to review our Welcome to Warren, CA newsletter for important information about attendance expectations and how families can support student success.
Another important update for the 2026-2027 school year is the implementation of California’s new Phone-Free Schools Act. As a school community, we recognize the importance of helping students stay focused, engaged, and present throughout the school day. We ask all students and families to carefully review our cell phone and personal device policy, available on our website.
In our newsletter, you will find important information to help you prepare for the first day of school on Thursday, August 13, 2026. We encourage you to take a few moments to review the information, note important dates, and make sure you are ready for a successful start to the school year.
The strength of Warren has always been its people. Our students, families, staff, and community work together to create a school where students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves. I am incredibly grateful to be part of this community and look forward to all that we will accomplish together this year. We can’t wait to welcome you to Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and showcase everything that makes Warren such a special place.
Here’s to new beginnings, new opportunities, and another unforgettable year as a Warren Bear.
Go Bears!
