We are Looking for PTSA Student Reps
What is it?
A student leadership opportunity for Warren Bears across all grade levels to serve as the student voice of PTSA, support our school community, and earn community service hours for their time.

Structure
Up to 2 representatives per grade level (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th)
Up to 8 student reps total
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled at Warren High School
- Current PTSA member for the 2026-27 SY
- In good academic standing (no failing grades)
- In good attendance standing
- Willingness to represent your grade level and show up for your school community
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly commitments:
- Attend the monthly PTSA Association Meeting
- Share updates and represent your grade level’s perspective at the meeting
- Stay connected with your fellow rep and communicate when one of you cannot attend
As needed throughout the year:
- Support membership outreach – encourage students and families to join PTSA
- Assist with fundraising efforts including Snack Shack, School Cents, and other campaigns
- Help at PTSA events such as Senior Breakfast, Teacher Appreciation, and Carnival of Champions
- Volunteer in the HELPS Room – our community pantry run through Downey Council PTA
- Help promote PTSA on campus and within your grade level community
Community Service Hours
- 4 hours per month for attending the Association Meeting and sharing updates
- 1 hour per hour for any additional volunteering – events, HELPS Room, Snack Shack, membership drives, fundraisers, etc.
- Hours are tracked and verified by the PTSA President or designee
- Documentation provided upon request for college applications, NHS, or other purposes
Time Commitment
Approximately 4–6 hours per month minimum, with opportunities to earn more based on involvement. This role is designed to work around your school schedule – your academics always come first.

Reflections Program
“The Reflections Program provides students with the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Reflections can also serve as an outlet for students to creatively explore what they are learning in the classroom. When children express themselves through words, pictures, music, dance, film, and other art media, they grow intellectually; they learn to analyze their thoughts and feelings. The Reflections Program helps parents encourage the creativity, self-discovery, and lifelong learning of their children. Supporting the PTA Reflections Program is one way you can increase student achievement, foster student talents, and promote the arts.”
