Cari White Ed.D.

Principal

Dr. Cari White has proudly served the Warren High School community since 1999, demonstrating exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to student success. She became Principal in 2019 after serving as Assistant Principal from 2016 to 2019, Dean of Discipline from 2014 to 2016, and a Special Education Teacher from 1999 to 2014. She has also held key leadership roles as Activities Director (2008–2010) and Special Education Department Chair (2002–2008).

A lifelong supporter of Warren, CA, Dr. White loves being part of this vibrant community and is deeply committed to helping its students thrive. A strong advocate for equity and access, she has consistently championed programs and initiatives that meet the diverse needs of all students. Following the pandemic, she introduced innovative supports such as the Student Success Lab (SSL) intervention classes and led the implementation of an 8-period day block schedule to expand learning opportunities for all students. This schedule allows students to access a wide range of programs during the school day, removing barriers and ensuring equitable opportunities for all learners.

Dr. White’s leadership has significantly expanded dual enrollment at Warren High School, growing from just 2 sections to over 30. Her presentation, “Building a Robust Dual Enrollment Program: Lessons Learned from Warren High School,” at the 2024 CCEMC Conference in San Francisco, highlights her commitment to sharing best practices statewide.

Through her “Pick Your Passion” initiative, Dr. White ensures every student is connected to something meaningful on campus, whether through career pathways, academic programs, or extracurricular activities. She has expanded AVID, supported the growth of inclusive co-teaching models, and prioritized professional learning for staff to better support multilingual learners. She has also broadened the Bears University Seminar (BUS) summer program to assist all incoming seniors with their college essays, further strengthening postsecondary readiness.

Under her leadership, the College and Career Center has flourished, launching initiatives such as iApplied Week and the FAFSA Race to Submit, which have greatly increased college application and financial aid completion rates. The advisory block, which includes tutoring, Bear Connection, and academic intervention during the school day, offers both academic and social-emotional support, ensuring every student has the resources they need to succeed.

Dr. White’s leadership is characterized by collaboration, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to creating an equitable and supportive environment where all students can succeed. Her love for Warren, CA, and its students is at the heart of everything she does.
