We are excited to highlight our new Show Choir program, led by Ms. Brianna Estrada with choreography support from Teresa Flores Segura. Show Choir is a dynamic performing ensemble that blends group singing with choreographed dance. Unlike a traditional musical or theatre production, there are no acting roles or lines of dialogue. Instead, students present a full program of music brought to life through movement and performance.
This is the very first year of Show Choir at Warren, and the growth has already been incredible. The students took the stage for their debut performance at the December Winter Choir Concert and will be attending their first competition in May. We were also proud to welcome Stauffer Middle School’s new Show Choir to that concert, and we are looking forward to an exchange performance with them later this semester.

One of the best parts of this program is that it is open to any student who has an interest in singing and dancing. The class is energetic and physically demanding, and students are challenged to build strength, coordination, and endurance while learning complex routines. Beyond the physical skills, Show Choir is helping students grow in confidence, memory, multitasking, and executive function as they learn to sing and dance at the same time.

Even more powerful has been the sense of community forming within the group. Students are building new friendships, supporting one another through challenges, and developing empathy as they navigate a brand new experience together. The encouragement and teamwork we see every day is a true reflection of the spirit of Warren.

We are so proud of Ms. Estrada and all of our Show Choir students for bringing this exciting new program to life! If you are interested in joining Show Choir, please email Ms. Estrada: bestrada@dusd.net – go Bears!
