We’re beyond proud to share that Warren High School’s Unified Sports program was recently highlighted on Inside California Education, a PBS series celebrating innovative schools and programs across the state.

At Warren, our Unified Sports program brings students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities together to play, compete, and grow as a team. Through basketball, cheer, flag football, track, and so much more, students build friendships, confidence, and understanding across our entire school community.

Our Unified Sports Program reflects the dedication of our students, coaches, and staff who create an inclusive and supportive environment. The PBS feature gives the wider community a chance to see firsthand how our program is making a difference for everyone involved.

Our students describe Unified Sports as more than just playing a game — it’s a chance to belong and be part of a team. These voices remind us every day why inclusion matters.

The success of Unified Sports at Warren comes from strong leadership, dedicated coaches, and the support of our entire school. Practices and games are structured so every student can participate, and we continuously adapt and grow the program to meet our students’ needs.

We’re thrilled to see our Unified Sports program receive this recognition, and we hope it inspires other schools to see the power of inclusion through athletics. Make sure to give them a follow on instagram: @warrenunifiedchampion to stay up to date with all things Warren Unified Sports!
