We are thrilled to announce that Warren PTSA has earned the 2024–2026 National PTA School of Excellence designation! This national recognition celebrates PTAs that go above and beyond to make their school communities more welcoming, inclusive, and supportive for all families. Warren is one of just 330 schools across the country, and one of eight in Downey, to earn this honor.

Over the past year, our Warren PTSA worked closely with families, students, staff, and administrators to strengthen communication, increase engagement, and ensure that every voice in our school community is valued. As part of the year-long process, our PTSA gathered feedback from families, staff, and students, then developed an action plan guided by the National Standards for Family–School Partnerships where they focused on two main areas:

  • Speaking Up for Every Child – helping all families feel confident advocating for their students.
  • Communicating Effectively – strengthening outreach through bilingual communication (English and Spanish) and hosting events that highlight diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Earning this designation shows that Warren is not only meeting these goals but is being recognized nationally for them. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and teamwork of our students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and our incredible EB Board members.

We are also excited to welcome our new PTSA President, Wendolly Escobar, who will continue building on this momentum and leading our efforts to make a positive impact on our campus community.

There has never been a better time to get involved—we encourage every Bear family to join PTSA and be part of the work that makes Warren stronger for our students.

Congratulations to our Warren PTSA for this incredible honor, and thank you to everyone who played a role in making it happen – GO BEARS!
