Some student schedules will show that they have an “off-roll” advisory period, which means they don’t have a scheduled class during that time. When this happens during the first block of the day (periods 1–2) or later in the day (periods 7–8), students have options for how they use that time on campus.

If a student needs extra academic help, they can attend tutoring with a teacher or peer tutor to review material, make up assignments, or retake work. Students who don’t need tutoring can still make good use of the time by meeting with their counselor, visiting the Wellness Center or College & Career Center, studying, or spending time with friends in a supervised setting.

First Week of School:

  • Off roll/Advisory during periods 1–2: Report to the gym if you are on campus
  • Off roll/Advisory during periods 7–8: Report to the cafeteria unless you have parent permission to leave campus.

All students have a place to be, will be supervised, and they will have access to resources during the advisory periods.
