The Warren Warbots, officially known as FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 9408, have solidified their place as one of the most promising young robotics teams in Southern California, and the World. This past weekend, the team from Warren High School stunned the competition at the Los Angeles Regional, earning a coveted Regional Championship title and continuing their meteoric rise in the world of competitive robotics.
A Season of Victories
Founded in 2024, the Warren Warbots have wasted no time in making a name for themselves. Their performance this season has been nothing short of spectacular:
- Hueneme Port Regional: The team earned the Rookie All-Star Award, marking them as a standout among new competitors.
- Los Angeles Regional: In an extraordinary display of skill and strategy, they secured the Regional Winners title and also received the Rookie Inspiration Award for their outstanding collaboration and innovative design.
- FIRST Championship Qualification: Their success in Los Angeles has secured them a place at the highly anticipated FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas, where they will compete against the best teams from around the world.

Road to Success
The Warbots’ remarkable achievements come as no surprise to those who have followed their journey. Just last month, the team participated in the Orange County Regional, where they finished with an impressive 10-6-0 record. They were selected by the 4th seeded alliance to compete in elimination rounds. The outcome was fantastic.

With two successful regional competitions behind them, Team 9408 is setting its sights on even greater accomplishments. Their dedication, teamwork, and technical expertise have not only earned them accolades but have also inspired fellow students to explore the world of STEM and robotics. They will test out their robot against the best in the world at the FIRST World Chapionships in Texas in mid April.
