Paul Wilson

Born on July 30, 1947, Paul moved from Arcadia,
CA, to Downey in 1951. In his junior year of high
school, he was recognized by Sports Illustrated for
setting the interscholastic age record for pole
vaulting. He became the first 16-year-old to clear
16 feet. He graduated from Warren High in 1965,
then attended USC.

In 1967, he was the United States pole vaulting champion, and his winning vault broke the world record at the time. After graduating from USC in 1970, he continued his education at Loyola L.A. Law school.

Upon graduating from law school in 1974, he began his career practicing law with Spray-Gould & Bowers
in Downtown Los Angeles. In 1983, he began to
develop real estate as well. He currently lives in
Long Beach where he enjoys racing sports cars in
his free time.
