Stauffer Middle School has just won the first-ever Downey Unified Middle School eSports Championship. 44 students (11 teams) signed up to be a part of the in-school tournament at Stauffer Middle School. Out of the 11 teams, The BreadWinners were selected to represent Stauffer MS at the District Championships which took place on November 29, 2022.

The BreadWinners consist of 4 players named, Milo Postigo (Team Captain), Emmon Medina, Angel Ramirez, and Isaac Chavez, along with Coach Michael Martin. Stauffer Middle School competed against all the other middle schools in Downey, (Doty, Griffiths, and Sussman MS) and remained undefeated throughout the Championship tournament. This triumph could not be achieved without the tremendous amount of support from VP Kelsey Hassler, and Principal, Darryl Browning.

For their victory prize, each of The Breadwinners won $100 GameStop Gift Cards. They also earned $1000 that goes to our Stauffer eSports League equipment, and of course, the coveted Downey Unified School District Middle School eSports trophy.

Congratulations Spartans! We are so proud of you!
