Congratulations to all our Spartans who participated in the Downey VEX Robotics Competition. It was exciting to see the fruit of all your hard work and ideas. We had some big winners that day.
Team A won the Robot Skills Championship
This team had the highest-scoring robot out of the 39 teams. They were ranked 3rd going into the elimination rounds and made it to the semifinals. Now, they are double-qualified for the State Championship.
Team C won the Judge’s Award and Tournament Finalists
This is our all-7th grade team who impressed the judges. They were ranked 1st going into the elimination round and made it to the final round. Now, they are qualified for the State Championship.
Team E won the Design Award
The Design Award is the second-highest award students can win. We are super proud of our all-girl team who spent hours and hours on their engineering notebook and interview skills. Now, they are qualified for the State Championship.
