All Downey Unified Elementary Schools Focus on the Following

21 CLC

TK-5 students utilize iPads for creation, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication daily integrated with all curriculum. ALL students will be in a 1:1 iPad environment for the school year.

Robotics

There are robotic classes available at all sites. In the spring, there is a district-wide event called, “Robolympics” where students apply everything they learned throughout the year to compete!

STEAM Instruction

Students are not only exposed to coding and STEM design, but they are also immersed in art with “Meet the Master’s” art instruction.

Student Leadership

Students are encouraged to grow personally as well as academically. Student Council, CHARACTER COUNCIL, and Tech Squad allow students opportunities to learn leadership skills.
