Downey High School is excited to invite private school 8th grade students and their families to a Downey High School Preview Day designed to showcase our Career and Technical Education pathway options, strong academics, student supports, and the Viking student experience.
This visit is built to be interactive and personalized. Students will participate in an interest based experience that allows them to see the programs they care about most while also getting a true feel for campus life.

During Preview Day, students will:
- Meet and connect with current Downey High School students and staff
- Receive an overview of academics, student supports, and student life
- Participate in an interest-based campus experience aligned to their survey selections
- Visit program stations connected to CTE and student opportunities
- Learn how students get involved through clubs, activities, athletics, and leadership
- Leave with clear next steps and take home information for families
