Two of Doty’s clubs, Power Up and Noble Knights took a field trip to PIH Hospital to deliver their Valentine’s hearts. They were taken on a tour of the hospital including the Radiology department, Breast Health Center, Cardiology, Patient Registration, and Infection Prevention Center. The students met some amazing people and spent time with the hospital’s Pet Therapy Dog, Whiskey! This was a wonderful experience for Doty students as they provided a special service to the community. Their handmade Valentine’s hearts brought a smile to everyone.
Power Up and Noble Knights are clubs for girls and boys that work on social skills and provide students with the support they need to be successful in middle school. Both clubs meet on Wednesdays from 12:45 pm – 2:00 pm in room 24 with Mrs. Redfox as the advisor.
