Physical Education

Doty PE students are invited to participate in a high energy physical fitness class where they will be encouraged to develop positive character traits through cooperation, self-responsibility, and teamwork. Doty PE will promote each student’s self-esteem and personal growth through participation in aerobic and anaerobic conditioning workouts. Doty PE will seek to instill the concept of “physical activity for a lifetime” so that all students will fully comprehend the impact of fitness on one’s well being.

The Doty PE program assigns grades based on student effort, participation, and performance.  Students are expected to dress in uniform while actively participating in the daily stretch, warm-up, timed jog, and sport/activity.  Students are continually challenged by Doty coaches to be their very best and constantly reminded of the optimal benefits of PE conditioning.

PE Uniforms

When should students buy their PE uniform?

Uniforms will be available for purchase during the first three weeks of school during PE class.

When do students need to start wearing a uniform?

Students will not be required to start dressing down for PE during the first few week of the school year.

How do I purchase a PE uniform and lock?

Students can order and pay for a PE uniform and lock in the school office. Students will be given a voucher stating what items were purchased (PE shirt, PE shorts, and PE lock). Students will exchange their voucher for items purchased to their PE coach.  Students are expected to have their lock and uniform within the first week of the school year.
