Welcome to Columbus — where Lions rebuild, renew, and rise.
If your family has been referred to Columbus High School (CHS) by a counselor at Downey High School or Warren High School, here’s everything you need to know to get started.
What Is New Student Orientation?
Before a student can officially transfer to Columbus High School, both the student and a parent or guardian must attend one New Student Orientation session together. This is a required step to complete the enrollment process.
Once orientation and enrollment are complete, the CHS counselor will review your student’s transcript and educational goals, then build a schedule based on their credit recovery needs. Students will also get real-time access to a personalized Credit Recovery record to track their progress.
