Congratulations to IB student, Vanessa Navarro who had her artwork displayed in the Autry Museum. Students submitted to an art competition hosted by the Autry Museum, themed “Visions of Freedom.” A big “thank you” to Ms. Hernandez for supporting her students with such great opportunities!

Free as a bird
I feel that Free as a Bird shows breaking free from something when someone feels trapped. A bird is a symbol of freedom, I added color to show that even more. The texture and watercolor show how light and loose freedom can be. The red and black shows frustration and strictness. The bird is a cool blue, one of the most liked colors in the world. The black cage shows being trapped, and not being able to leave. Please learn what your freedom is and break free from your cage.
