On May 3rd, Doty Middle School hosted a celebratory banquet for their incredible 8th grade AVID students. The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program empowers underrepresented students to achieve their college dreams.
This banquet recognized the hard work and dedication these 8th graders have poured into their AVID studies over the past two years. Throughout the program, they’ve gained valuable skills and knowledge that will prepare them for success in high school and beyond, ultimately setting them on the path to college readiness.
The celebratory event was held at the Embassy Suites in Downey, California, providing a wonderful atmosphere to honor these impressive students. Congratulations to the Doty Middle School AVID Class of 2024!
