Doty Helps Prepare Students to be College and Career-Ready
Doty Middle School has several Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways, some of which feed directly into Downey High School. Each CTE course offers relevant project-based activities modeled by professionals from the field. Students learn to explore different career interests and goals, learn employability and job skills, create personal portfolios, and even compete in industry competitions.
CTE programs provide students with the opportunity to acquire real-life skills to prepare them for successful, continuing education or entry-level career positions.
