CTE Pathways: Arts Media & Entertainment

For the creative, a career in the arts, media or entertainment industries provides an opportunity to make a living that revolves around talents and passions. It can be a competitive field, so getting a head start in growing and honing skills is key. Using industry-standard tools and professional techniques, students will finish their courses ready to join the workforce or take their next education steps.

Animation Pathway

From cartoon whimsy to sales and marketing visualizations, there is a larger variety of careers in animation than you may originally expect. Our animation pathway introduces students to the principles and practices of 2-D and 3-D animation. Students will end their courses with a portfolio of their animated works.

Courses

YEAR 1: Animation I

Course Description

Students will continue to build upon their skills as they prepare for specific career paths within the animation industry. The course will introduce students to 3-D animation, the differences in types of timing and how to animate facial expressions.
