Dropping or Withdrawing Courses

A drop or withdraw must be completed BY YOU through Cerritos Campus Portal and then reported to your Warren counselor. You can get assistance with this in the College & Career Center (O-1).

Drop vs Withdraw

A “drop” from a course has no academic repercussions and does not appear on your transcript.

A “withdraw” will look like a “W” on your college transcript. It is better to officially withdraw than to simply stop attending class and receive a failing grade, but withdrawing is a step that shouldn’t be taken lightly. “W” grades are not considered when calculating the grade-point average but may impact a student’s satisfactory academic progress as it relates to financial aid.

If you have any issues or questions, you may contact: whsdualenrollment@dusd.net or stop by the Student Resource Center (A-101) or the College and Career Center (O-1).
