While we are fully immersed in an International Baccalaureate® (IB) mindset, we know that understanding the programme takes a little time and a lot of explaining. That is why, earlier this school year, Dr. Anita Arora invited 5th-grade teachers and elementary principals to Sussman for a presentation about the IB programme and curriculum. By educating our district teachers, we are making it easier for them to identify students who may be most interested in the program in the future and also help make the transition between 5th and 6th grade seamless.
We always look for ways to make our program and our faculty better for our students. Communicating our middle school goals to our elementary school is a great way of ensuring a successful journey for our students and aligning the vertical articulation.
