Downey Unified’s Dual Enrollment Program is designed for students who want to earn college credits before graduation. Each semester, students from all grade levels can enroll in this program. Students can choose from the available courses that will count towards their high school diploma while allowing students to get a head start on their higher education goals. These classes are free and most transferable to the UCs and CSUs, saving you time and money in college!
Program Requirements
- Minimum GPA of 2.6 (3.0 preferred)
- Must have great attendance
- Must be prepared for college-level workload
How to Apply for Dual Enrollment
Application Details

CCC Apply
Become a College Student
- Create an account at CCCApply
- Use student cell phone and/or personal email address
- Do not use parent information
- Do not use DUSD email address
- Verify email address or cell phone with CCC Account Security Code
- Create Profile and finish application

Apply for the Cerritos Term
Apply for the TERM you want to take classes.
- Go to CCCApply
- Click start a new application
- Term applying for: Choose the Term
- Complete Application
- Write down your Cerritos College Application Confirmation Number for the current term.

Request Your Courses
Request the Cerritos courses you want to take using the Warren Dual Enrollment Course Request Google Form.
- To access the google form, students MUST be logged into their DUSD student account.
- By filling out this form, you are expressing interest in taking Dual Enrollment classes for the upcoming term.
- You will receive an email from the Dual Enrollment Team letting you know what courses you have been approved to take next term.
STOP HERE
If you have not already done so complete the Warren DE Course Request. You cannot enroll in any classes without an email approval from Warren. Check your DUSD email regularly for updates and course information.

Dualenroll
Enroll yourself in your approved classes.
- New Students: Create my Dual Enroll Account
- Enter two very important numbers
- Cerritos College Application Confirmation Number for the current term. (8 digits, begins with a 3)
- Cerritos College ID Number (7 digits, begins with a 2). If you are still waiting for this, you may proceed with just the Application Confirmation Number.
- Find your course and click on the Title
- Select the provided section number and click Enroll.
- Let parents know to expect an email or text to sign an authorization for Cerritos.
- Check back daily until registration is Complete.
Wait to proceed until you have a Cerritos ID# and enrollment is complete. No Cerritos ID#? Check the personal email you used to register. If an Identification Verification (IDV Hold) is needed CLICK HERE to learn how to clear it.

Cerritos Campus Portal
The Portal is where you will find all things Cerritos! Grades, transcripts, drop or withdraw courses, and access Cerritos Canvas.
- Access your Cerritos Campus Portal
- Log in for the first time with the following information
Username/Student: Cerritos ID#
Password: Birthday in the format MMDDYYYY - Once you have logged in, you will be prompted to set up a new password and pick security questions.

Access your Cerritos Canvas
- Log into your Cerritos Campus Portal
- Navigate to the Canvas Icon and check to see your classes appear
Canvas not there? Classes not appearing? Check your dualenroll account and make sure your classes show complete. If they do not, the college is likely waiting for you to clear an IDV Hold, parent signatures, or you entered incorrect information. You will not be able to proceed with the course if these do not get fixed.
STOP HERE
All information regarding professors, textbooks, materials, class location, times, dates, etc. will be available in the Student Resource Center (A101) for students to pick up. Please wait for an email from Ms. Hanohano regarding course information pick-up times. It is the students responsibility to check their DUSD email regularly.
