In May, Sussman Middle School’s PTA was awarded National PTA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award for their outstanding work in celebrating ALL students and fostering a more inclusive environment. Of the many initiatives and events the PTA supports, they were especially recognized for their support of Where Everyone Belongs (WEB) club, making school spirit-wear accessible to disadvantaged students, hosting a two-week kindness event, raising awareness of autism, partnering with non-profits to support at-risk youths and restocking the PTA HELPS food bank!
