Victory for Vets Event Raises $11,000 for Operation Reboot

Thank you so much for joining us at our 6th Annual Victory for Vets Jog-a-thon!

This is definitely one of our favorite, if not THE favorite event of the year for Unsworth. It was a beautiful tribute to our Veteran Superheroes.

The day started off with a Veterans Appreciation Assembly. Then students of all grade levels participated in the jog-a-thon event.

We raised $11,000! This surpassed our goal of $10,000. The $11,000 will be shared between the veterans as well as our school. Unsworth will use the money to upgrade our blacktop areas to make them more engaging for our kids. Our top fundraisers will be honored with fun rewards such as being the Principal for the day!

Members of our staff (with some help from some 5th grade “elves”) competed in a whacky holiday obstacle course. Mr. Naval led the Grinches, and Mrs. Becker led the Candy Cane Crew. The entire school was there to cheer on their favorite admin elves and their teams. In the end, The Candy Cane Crew was victorious and Mrs. Becker celebrated with a pie in the face to Mr. Naval.
