While academics remain at the heart of a Downey Unified education, we are equally committed to nurturing the creative passions of our students. This summer, we are proud to introduce the DFEO Musical Theatre Summer Intensive, a dynamic program designed for incoming 6th–8th-grade students who are eager to explore the performing arts.
This free summer intensive offers students the opportunity to develop their talents in acting, singing, and dance within a supportive and collaborative environment. Participants will work alongside experienced instructors to build confidence, strengthen performance skills, and prepare for a culminating showcase.

No Intensive: June 19 or July 3

“Frozen, Jr.” performance: July 1 & 2
Auditions
Students interested in joining the program are invited to audition. Auditions are open to all incoming middle school students in Downey Unified who are ready to learn, grow, and take the stage.
