Technology Enhanced Learning

Preparing Students for Their Future

At Downey Unified, we work to ensure that our students are college and career ready and globally competitive. That is why we provide our students with technology that is relevant, will help them connect with the real world, and provide important job-related skills. Furthermore, our use of educational technology supports different kinds of learners, encourages collaboration, and provides students with fun new ways to learn.

“We believe in providing robust opportunities for our students to think deeply and creatively, allowing them to have voice and choice while utilizing an iPad as a tool for learning across all content areas. We are committed to providing a learning environment where our students are engaged, challenged and are on a continuous path toward innovation. ”

– Jennifer Robbins, Director of Elementary Education

We believe all students should have equal access to technology. Therefore, each student is loaned a device to use and take home for the school year.
