The Stauffer Café took students on a flavorful journey around the world during its first-ever food tasting event on Tuesday, October 21. Hosted in the school cafeteria, the event featured two exciting menu items already available in our secondary schools — Chicken Masala and Chicken Tinga — giving students a chance to experience new tastes inspired by diverse cultures.
Students from Kat’s culinary arts class served as official tasters, sampling the dishes and sharing their feedback while the Spartan TV and Social Media Crews captured every delicious moment. Prepared fresh in the Stauffer kitchen by Chef Brad and the Food Services team, the tasting not only showcased the department’s commitment to high-quality meals but also celebrated the cultural diversity represented in our community.
Beyond introducing students to global flavors, the tasting served as an opportunity to bring departments together, from culinary arts to media and nutrition, all working toward one goal: making school meals something students can truly look forward to.
It’s one more way we’re creating meaningful experiences that connect students, culture, and cuisine.
