A proud milestone was reached at Carpenter Elementary! Our 5th graders celebrated their graduation as the first class to complete all their elementary education while Carpenter has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. Many of these students began their journey as early as transitional kindergarten (TK). Throughout their time here, they have developed as bilingual learners through our Dual Language Immersion program, mastering both English and Spanish.

We promoted 102 students, 85 of whom will be heading to Sussman Middle School to participate in their IB program.
On May 22nd, we held an awards ceremony called the “Road to Biliteracy Awards” at Sussman Middle School’s gymnasium. This event honored the culmination of the program and celebrated both the IB curriculum and biliteracy.
It has been a pleasure watching our young Explorers flourish, and we look forward to seeing them continue to excel in their future endeavors. Pioneer ahead!
