Griffiths Families,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Griffiths family! We are so glad you have chosen Griffiths as your choice to prepare your student for high school. The Griffiths staff is an expert at preparing middle school students for the 21st century and strives to have each student reach their true full potential. As a longtime Downey Unified employee, I have a vested interest in your student and their success.

Griffiths Middle School is a community that believes in preparing students to become college and career ready and take a proactive role in society by being respectful, responsible, and safe citizens of strong character.
Our Mission
The mission of Griffiths Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment where staff and students work in partnership with the community. Students will demonstrate the knowledge, character, and skills necessary to become creative problem solvers, achieve personal success, and contribute responsibly to our diverse, dynamic world. We believe that all students will thrive in an environment built on trust and mutual respect. Through accessing rigorous and varied academic standards, we will work together to prepare our students to become both college and career ready and to take a productive role in society as lifelong learners.
