About Our Mascot
Griffiths Middle School: Home of the Thunderbirds
We are very excited to announce the brand new identity for Griffiths Middle School.
The Thunderbird was chosen after months of dialogue and design considerations. We wanted to maintain a connection to our previous mascot’s Native American and First Nations heritage. For the last several years, the image of the Thunderbird has been part of our schoolwide focus logo along with the symbol of the dream catcher. However, with our school being remade during this time of construction, we thought it be the best time to make a brand change.
We will continue to use our Think Share Defend logo as our schoolwide focus of Critical Thinking and now it will have greater connection to the our new brand and identity which is our new school logo featuring our current color scheme with a Thunderbird head and three feathers to represent the 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
Brand Guidelines
The logotype is the single most important element of the entire brand identity. It embodies everything that the school stands for. With time, it will become the “visual cue” that people instantly associate with Griffiths Middle School.
These brand guidelines are intended to help you determine how to best use the logo when producing materials for web and print platforms. Please do not edit, change, distort, recolor, or reconfigure the logo and its variations. Thank you!
