(Do not submit both)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>-Applications open <em>October 1, 2020<\/em> (try to submit as close to October 1st as possible).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Deadline to submit applications is <em>March 2, 2021.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):<\/strong> The FAFSA should be the first thing you do in the search for financial aid. This calculates how much money the federal government will give you based off your and your parents&#8217; financial information from the previous year. Completing the FAFSA also allows you to be considered for state aid, certain scholarships, grants from colleges\/universities and federal student loans. U.S. Citizens and Legal Residents should fill out the FAFSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Link:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fstudentaid.gov%2Fh%2Fapply-for-aid%2Ffafsa&amp;sa=D&amp;sntz=1&amp;usg=AFQjCNHSTb-wU1ZAwFKIINBZm07Y0HRA_w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> studentaid.gov\/fafsa<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>California Dream Act Application:<\/strong> The California Dream Act Application is an alternative to the FAFSA for students who are undocumented; including students who are AB-540 eligible, DACA or TPS.
