Our Honors Engineering Pathway&nbsp;is designed to inspire, challenge, and prepare students for future success in college, careers, and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Bears begin their journey with Honors Engineering I (9th Grade)&nbsp;and Honors Engineering II (10th Grade). In these courses, students gain fundamental skills in CAD modeling, manufacturing processes, wiring, programming, and design thinking while working hands-on with industry-level equipment. From 3D printing and CNC milling to laser cutting, engineering physics, and precision measurements, our students are building a foundation most won\u2019t experience until college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By junior year, students choose one of two specialized pathways to match their interests:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CTE: Engineering Manufacturing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CTE: Engineering Mechatronics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/web.dusd.net\/warren\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2025\/09\/10-IMG_0031-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17887\" style=\"width:569px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.dusd.net\/warren\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2025\/09\/10-IMG_0031-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/web.dusd.net\/warren\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2025\/09\/10-IMG_0031-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Being a part of these programs also opens doors beyond the classroom. Students can participate in SkillsUSA, competing in regional, state, and national challenges that develop technical skills and leadership. They can also join Warren\u2019s FRC Robotics Team, collaborating to design, build, and compete with a full-scale robot \u2014 an experience that combines teamwork, engineering, and innovation in a real-world setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honors Engineering Pathway is not only engaging but also rewarding. Students earn Honors credit&nbsp;with a GPA boost, college credits, and have the chance to earn industry certifications&nbsp;that will set them apart for future opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/web.dusd.net\/warren\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2025\/09\/4-IMG_9981-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17888\" style=\"width:306px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honors Engineering Pathway&nbsp;is the only Honors CTE elective available at Warren and is aligned with the accelerated math track that begins in our feeder middle schools, Griffiths and Stauffer.
