Stauffer Middle School embraced the spirit of the day by hosting a declaration of impact ceremony. Each participant took part in this meaningful activity, where they articulated their personal intentions and the impact they aim to achieve throughout the school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The significance of AVID Day was underscored by its recognition in San Diego, where AVID was originally founded. The city\u2019s mayor and council officially declared August 30, 2024, as AVID Day, issuing a proclamation during the New General Session at the San Diego Summer Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Stauffer Middle School continues to implement and grow its AVID program, this day stands as a powerful reminder of the collective commitment to fostering determination, resilience, and academic excellence among students.
