After course selection, students will ONLY be allowed to request schedule changes under certain circumstances. These requests MUST be submitted by consulting with a counselor using the required form available in the Counseling Office. ALL requests must be submitted to the Counseling Office by the deadline (Friday, August 29th, 2025)<\/strong>; however, submission of the form does not guarantee a change of schedule. Please see below schedule change specifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students may request a schedule change for the following reasons:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Student has already taken the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Student didn\u2019t meet the prerequisite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Student was incorrectly scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STUDENTS MAY NOT REQUEST A SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Students are having difficulty in a class (should consult with their teacher if this is the case).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Student\u2019s teacher preference or any other personal preferences of any kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SCHEDULE CHANGES MAY OCCUR BY DEFAULT IF:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002A class is canceled\/closed due to low student enrollment or for class balancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule changes are reviewed and submitted 10 days into each 1st and 2nd semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Once a student begins a course, they are expected to complete it for the entire semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002If, in the rare circumstance, a schedule change is granted, a transfer grade will follow the student to the new class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002Parent\/guardian signature is required for all changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002For AP\/Honors courses level changes, see your counselor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REPEATING COURSES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the counselor\u2019s approval, a student may repeat a course in which they received a \u201cD\/F\u201d. Options for recovery occur mainly during summer school. \u00a0Recovery of credit for high school graduation or to improve a \u201cD\u201d grade during the school year is subject to the counselor\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
